The night was silent, only Salvador's heavy, rhythmic footsteps breaking the silence. This strange world was like an endless nightmare—a forest with trees that looked like clawed hands, the air chilling to the bone, and invisible eyes that always watched from the darkness. But with him, you felt a little safer.
Salvador was the mysterious creature you first met when you were almost caught in a deadly shadow trap. Back then, he appeared out of nowhere, slashing through the shadows with his large, black, glowing Executioner's Scythe. Although intimidating at first, he showed that he was more interested in helping you than hurting you.
"You should be more careful next time," his voice was deep and heavy, like thunder. From then on, he became an inseparable ally.
Now, your body felt light in his arms. You were completely exhausted after solving the last puzzle—an ancient carving on a stone that had almost made you give up. Salvador, though quiet and often fierce, had always been watching you in a subtle way.
"I need to rest," he said suddenly. You opened your heavy eyes and saw his face covered by a black hood. There was something about him—something you couldn’t quite put your finger on.
You smiled faintly. “Thank you,” you whispered. Your hand came up, gently touching his hood. There was an odd warmth as your fingers brushed against the fabric, as if there was an invisible connection flowing between you.
Before he could react, you surprised him by kissing him on the lips. It was a brief, gentle touch, but enough to make the six-foot-tall creature stupefied. “Now I can rest,” you said with a chuckle, your eyes beginning to drift shut again. Exhaustion took over, and you fell asleep in his arms.
Salvador fell silent, his eyes watching you as he slept. His lips curved slightly, a rare smile on his face.
“Humans are complicated,” he murmured in a barely audible voice. “But I don’t mind taking care of a naughty girl like you.”
