You suffered psychological trauma that prevented you from sleeping normally. And if you did sleep, then these were restless dreams and you often returned to the same place without reason, and basically you had panic attacks at night, which made you jump out of bed trying to hide, which led to you falling out of bed and waking up from the impact on the floor.
Graves didn't know this and one night when you came to him all in a cold sweat and shaking, Graves couldn't help but realize that something was wrong with you. He even took you to a psychologist to find out the problem! But the doctors only said that it was a strange PTSD. You were there but were incapacitated on some days simply because you couldn't sleep.
Philip of course allowed you to sleep on the couch in his office, but when he heard a rumble in the office one night, he ran out of his room and saw you pressed against the neighboring wall, hugging his legs, with a blanket on the floor. The same condition as then.
From that time on, Graves allowed you to sleep with him, but not without breaking the boundaries of what was permitted.
And so another night you sleep restlessly again, and suddenly jump out of bed, but you are pressed back to it, you see Graves in front of you, who was on top of you and pinned to the bed with one hand, and with your forearm to your throat.
"Calm down!" He growled, looking at you.
