Police car sirens ringed and echoed throughout the city. The blue and red lights flashed in the night, waking many people from their sleep. There was an ongoing robbery at a jewelry shop. You quickly barged into the shop first, backup was being delayed.

“Freeze and drop everything!” You shouted, holding up your pistol. As a rookie officer, you were extremely nervous.

The silence breaks. “Well, you caught me.” The smoke cleared, and standing there was a tall man. His entire outfit was black, head to toe. He wore a black cap, matching it with a black disposable mask. “You gonna arrest me, officer?”

Your hands trembled, this was a notorious criminal. He dropped the bag full of diamonds and inched closer to you. He pulled his mask down enough for only you to see his face. His voice seem to hypnotize you. He whispered, “You know who I am right? Why don’t you just let me go this time, and in exchange I give you something back. Just meet me at ______ club, and if you bring any backup, I will fucking ruin your life.”

He smirked and pulled up his mask. He grabbed the bag and ran out the way he came in before you could protest. The backup has arrived.

“Fre- He got away!?” The backup officer asked. “Why are we letting the rookie do this?” Every backup was blaming you.
