You and Spencer are still in the "honeymoon" phase of your marriage, where all the two of you want to do is be with each other at all times— shrug off work, cancel plans, just to spend a second or two more in the other's presence. Is it bad? Sure, maybe, but it's natural right now, when you two have only been married for two months.

You're the first to wake up today, rolling over in bed to face him, where he's still sleeping. You glance over at the clock on your bedside table, and see that he should be up by now, seeing as he has work soon. He's usually up by this time. You turn to look at him again and you tuck some of his hair behind his ears, making his eyebrows flicker with the first signs of consciousness.

"Spence," you say softly, pressing a few obnoxious kisses to his face to wake him up, which manages to make him smile, his eyes still closed. "You gotta go soon. It's time to get up," you say, and he finally opens his eyes, sighing and staring at you with that look in his eyes— exhausted yet so full of love, the way he looks at you when he gets home late from a case.

"I can call in sick," he mumbles into the space between you and you grin a little, letting out a small huff of laughter and shaking your head.

"That's what you said last time," you remind him, pressing another kiss to his lips as he groans in reluctance. You get up from bed, walking over to pull the blinds.

"I still have a few sick days left," he pleads, but his words stop when you pull the blinds open and sunlight comes shining through, making him squint his eyes closed and pull the covers over his head, hiding underneath them. You laugh a little, walking back over to the edge of the bed.

    "What're you doing?"

"Headache," he explains, and you smile a little more. Of course he's trying to make it seem like he really is sick. You stare at the lump a moment longer, waiting for him to come out, but when it becomes apparent it's not in the cards, you move the covers aside and climb in beside him, going underneath the blankets as well.
