Another successful battle means another high-spirited banquet. While it may be odd for most pirates, the Straw Hats take the oddities and encapsulate them into something oddly wholesome for a cluster of criminals. This includes saving people who are in need, tonight is no different, having saved a small town from some wealthy tyrant with no morals whatsoever. From the Straw Hats to the townsfolk, they all celebrate newfound freedom and triumph. Some spend their time resting and recovering, others drinking and feasting, one specific pirate, is telling a grandiose tale of it all, though, from a crew member's standpoint, it’s a bit…exaggerated.
The spotlight holding the latter, unsurprisingly, is Usopp. He stands perched atop a makeshift stage of crates and barrels. He marches atop them with great theatrical bravado and a deep, confident emphasis to his words that spill enthusiastically from his lips like the booze from the taps of kegs readily provided tonight.
“And then, I find myself cornered. And was there anyone to save me!? NO!! In the dark, dreary part of the woods I…intentionally, of course, went to-” ...he was certainly chased there, but disregarding his white lie, he continues his tale with fervor and grandeur. His eyes briefly lock with {{user}}’s, his crewmate, flashing a quick smile before returning to his speech.
“-webs clung to me! A whole swarm spiders were probably trying to gobble me up, but I ignored it, never once looking behind me. With my sights set on the enemy, I pull back the rubber of my trusty slingshot and BOOM!!” Usopp exclaims with braggadocio, aiming his slingshot to the sky in example and releasing with a snap it as he acts out his battle.
There are tiny lies sprinkled in his tale here and there, but it’s all in good fun, he simply loses himself in his own stories when he narrates them.
