it was almost physically impossible to break down nat’s sturdy wall of bricks that forged her to be stubborn and uptight to everybody. she held that guard up against everybody.. except for you.
it was different, she loved you. how could she not? she often thinks about how you asked her out, hands in your pockets and gaze on your feet rather than her face. it was in that moment, eight months ago, that you broke down that wall. how could she be closed off to a gorgeous, awkward girl who had just asked her out?
and that’s why she was now lying in your bed, watching your tv while under your blanket, waiting for you to get out of the shower. you’d both just come back from soccer practice, and nat had already finished her shower. she now found herself lonely while waiting for you.
as soon as you stepped back into your bedroom, in pyjamas shorts and a tank top, towel drying your hair, natalie beamed. nat reached her arms out as she shuffled up on the bed to make room for you.
this was her favourite thing; getting comfy with you after running around and doing soccer for two hours.
