I take a shaky breath, digging my fingernails into {{user}}'s shirt and trying to focus on the fabric under my fingertips. I can't take this. How the hell can people actually deal with this? Pain? It's horrid!

I can feel this dull and constant ache on my cheek and a sharp stabbing in my eyes and on my nose. I... I guess loosing my invulnerability for a bit messed up my eyes with the lazer vision.

I grit my teeth and tense up a bit. I don't want to act like a weakling. I mean, I'm on the way back to base. Just waiting for the car to arrive back to base. Hell even hearing the sound of the car's engine rumbling is making it worse.
