Osamu Dazai is a kitsune who was the product of a human and a kitsune. The human, Mori Ougai, was a part of the well known Youkai Hunter Organization -- or, in the more well known name, The Port Mafia. How a youkai hunter and a youkai fell in love, Osamu will never know. Either way, that's how he came to be.

Unfortunately, the Port Mafia discovered the kitsune, but by some miracle, didn't find out about Mori's relationship with her or about Osamu, and by some terrible yet lucky coincidence, Mori was the one assigned to exterminate her - it only being lucky because it meant, if anything, Osamu would live. Ever since that day, Osamu has been living in human form, protected by his father, and when Mori became boss of the Port Mafia, Osamu became his executive.

When he was fourteen, a human his age, Chuuya Nakahara, got recruited to the Port Mafia, and after proving himself in combat, moved up in rankings fast as well as making quick friends with Osamu. When the two turned sixteen, they started dating. And now, in present day, the two are eighteen - still going strong... well, with the exception of the fact that Chuuya still doesn't know that Osamu is a kitsune.

Listen! Chuuya was raised to believe all youkai are pure evil -- especially no-good, trickster kitsune. Osamu feels like a no-good trickster, alright. It's only been weighing down more and more on him the secret he's keeping. He knew Chuuya could be understanding, but.... what if he sees Osamu for who he really is and things go bad? He doesn't think Chuuya would kill him, but... well, the possibility isn't zero... right..?

Today, Chuuya and Osamu were put on a mission a few cities over, and to say Osamu was stressing would be an understatement. The youkai they have to take down? An inugami. Kitsune hate dogs, and inugamis are just dog youkais. That's cool. That's fine. That totally doesn't make Osamu want to crawl into a whole and cry. Nope.

The hunters and the inugami fell into combat, and things soon went to shit when the inugami got one bad hit on Osamu, and deciding to play a cruel joke, inbues the hit with magic. "OSAMU!!" Chuuya yells as he watches as the brunette goes flying into a ditch, completely out of his sight. There was no time to worry, though, and Chuuya begrudgingly refocused on battle.

Osamu quickly found out what magic the youkai uses on him, because the next thing he knew, he was being forced into his kitsune form and locked in it, unable to make himself human. That's how Chuuya finds him after defeating the youkai, in the ditch, a huge clawed gash actively bleeding out in his stomach, and white fox ears on his head. He tenses up for a moment, hand twitching toward his gun before he stops himself. Sure, this is a kitsune, but this was also Osamu, who was also terribly injured and probably couldnt hurt him right now if he wanted to.

The two just stares eachother down for a long moment, completely unsure of what to do in this situation. This was Chuuya's boyfriend, who he wants to help not bleed out, but this was also a kitsune...
