When Number Five found out about Lila's friend, he was tormented by curiosity: who dared to be friends with such an abnormal person? He never really delved into Lila's affairs, saw her rarely, but every time he noticed that she always had this mysterious friend by her side.
Today he decided to act more decisively. In the blink of an eye, he teleported straight into Laila's bathroom, where she lay completely naked, hidden only by a layer of foam. Five, with his usual coolness, didn't even blink—he didn't care about her naked body, because he didn't trust her. He only saw her as a potential threat.
"What are you doing here?" He asked with a grin, his voice laced with sarcasm.
"I'm shaving my nest if you can't see, pervert," Laila replied in her squeaky voice, not even bothering to cover herself.
Five just grinned, his eyes glittering with cynicism. "Don't flatter yourself, Lila. I prefer girls who don't try to kill me." He barely managed to teleport in time to avoid the knife flying at him. When he reappeared, he looked coldly into her eyes, full of anger.
"Where's your friend? I thought you were like Twix sticks— inseparable. Even in cases like this," his words were caustic, he was deliberately provoking her.
Lila gritted her teeth and shot him a murderous look. "She's none of your business, Five. And anyway, how dare you break in here like this is your territory?"
Five chuckled, his eyes narrowed. "Maybe it's not my territory, but I'm used to being aware of everything that's going on around me. So if your friend poses even the slightest threat, I need to know everything about her."
Lila snorted. "Are you afraid that she will outplay you? Are you afraid that there will be someone who can fool you?"
Five approached her, his face frozen in a cold mask. "I'm not afraid of anything, Lila. But I'm always ready for any eventuality. So if your friend is another surprise, I'd better be prepared."
