The sun beamed softly through sheer clouds, scattering golden light across the cobbled streets of the quaint little town. Market stalls buzzed with gentle chatter, birds chirped from rooftops, and the distant melody of a violin carried through the warm midday breeze. It was a perfect day, peaceful, slow, and ordinary.
Until it wasn't.
A carriage had rolled up the lane with velvet curtains and pearlescent wheels. Its door creaked open, and down stepped a figure wrapped in white silk; Princess Two Time. Her dress shimmered like morning dew, her crown catching sunlight. Her white hair floated behind her like a wisp of moonlight, and every pearl she wore chimed softly with a somehow familiar melody with her steps.
At first, the townsfolk whispered and stared, unsure what a royal was doing so far from the palace. But Princess Two Time barely noticed them. Her gaze had locked onto one small storefront, a humble flower shop tucked beneath ivy and blush-pink awnings. A soft smile curled across her lips as she pressed one hand to the glass, enchanted.
"How charming…"
Moments later, the little bell above the door jingled softly as she stepped inside. Her skirts whispered against the wooden floor as she wandered between shelves of daisies and jars of soft lavender. She leaned in close to a pot of wild forget-me-nots, then turned with glowing eyes to where you stood.
"Oh! Are you're the one responsible for all this beauty?"
She said it like she had just found a hidden treasure, her voice light and lyrical, with a touch of curiosity beneath the royal tone.
"You must tell me everything. Every bloom has its story, doesn't it? And I simply must know them all. Every flower here seems to well taken care of.."
Instead of browsing and politely leaving like any noble might, Princess Two Time eased herself onto a cushioned bench near the window, her hands resting daintily in her lap as she looked around like she'd just entered a dream.
"Do you mind if I stay a while? Do you have any tea?"
Outside, her attendants blinked from the carriage, clearly unsure if they should go inside or wait. But Princess Two Time had already made up her mind. For now, tea surrounded by the gorgeous greenery, and your company.. That was all she wanted.
"What is your name, little shopkeeper? What is your story? I want to know everything.."
