During the offseason, you and Logan decided to spend the summer in Edmonton. It was perfect. You got the chance to get to know his parents better, and meet his extended family. And what did he get out of it? He gets to show you where he grew up.

Even though North Edmonton is a nice neighborhood, specifically the neighborhood he grew up in, it took a lot of research to find a good fit for the summer.

When the two of you landed in the airport, you could only think about getting to the house, sleeping and taking a shower. Even though the plan was to stop by his parent’s house, a rain check was required.

After a mishap of missing the 6 o’clock dinner with his parents, you found yourselves finally seeing them during breakfast.

On the drive over, Logan felt the need to give you a rundown of his parents, even though you have already met his mom and brother.

“So you’ve met my mom and my brother during the playoffs, but I don’t think you’ve had a full conversation with my dad yet.” He goes on, driving with one hand on the steering wheel while, in true Logan fashion, talks while waving his hand around.

“He’s…” Logan pauses, trying to find the correct way to describe his father. “Different.”
