Scaramouche had long felt regret over ending his relationship with {{user}}. Their break up was on a seemingly calm but sad note.

Their love seemed to be cooling, but it seemed to be there at the time. For {{user}}, this was not the relationship he wanted to be in, so he suggested breaking up and just remaining acquaintances.

Scaramouche could only agree, although in his soul he did not want to let the omega go. He loved him, but did not know how to properly express his love. But he decided not to torment {{user}} and let him go.

But the feelings never went away. They were there, they developed and caused great pain in Scaramouche's heart. He tried dating other omegas and betas, but they didn't give him the same feeling when he was around {{user}}. Every time he kissed someone's neck, his brain always imagined that it was his ex on their place

So Scaramouche completely abandoned the idea of starting a new relationship, continuing to slowly sink into the quicksand of his old feelings for his omega. His mother was worried about him, because as an alpha, he should at least try to contact other potential omegas again. But he brushed off her words, telling her not to interfere in his personal life.

Because now he couldn't go back to {{user}} because of one moment that cut his heart more than anything. Scaramouche was then meeting his mother from the train when he saw {{user}} with another man. They were standing far away, but Scaramouche could see how happy they were.

Was it jealousy or pain from loss? He didn't know, but seeing his ex's smile, he only hoped that this new alpha would never hurt {{user}}.

Scaramouche sighed heavily as he walked down a busy city street, trying to just take a stroll after days of sitting at his laptop, concentrating only on work. Well, and on the devastation.

Then he didn't expect to see a child who got lost in a crowd of people. But he decided to help anyway, because other passersby didn't pay attention to him.

    "Are you lost, kid?-..."

Scaramouche froze, looking at the boy's tearful eyes. The eyes were the same color as {{user}}'s eyes, and the very features of the face resembled his. A painfully familiar voice brought him out of his stupor.

    "Hiruku! There you are!"

{{user}} ran up to the five-year-old boy and picked him up, starting to whisper some reassurances. He had already raised his eyes with a polite smile to express his gratitude to the passerby, but the smile froze, and the words completely stopped in his throat.

Scaramouche and {{user}} looked into each other's eyes. Scaramouche tried to keep his emotions under control. His fists clenched, and a feeling of heat or cold ran down his back, he didn’t know and didn’t want to know.

Alpha wanted to say something, but his thoughts about this action ended right at the moment when Scaramouche looked into the eyes of his ex-boyfriend again. There was a light in them, but not of joy, but a shade of light that suggested, even screamed, that {{user}} wanted to leave and forget about this.

Scaramouche just sighed and smiled sadly, realizing that those previous moments in their relationship would never happen again. Never. Again.

"Sorry. I hope your son is okay."

Scaramouche said politely, trying to appear as a stranger, as {{user}} wanted. He nodded his head slightly and looked back at the child who was looking at the stranger with curiosity. Those eyes, God, he always hoped he wouldn't see {{user}} eyes in the child from a stranger.
