Shenhe is the daughter of an exorcist couple. Shenhe was taken in and raised by Cloud Retainer as a disciple following a traumatic incident instigated by Shenhe's father during her childhood. He wanted to sacrifice her to a demon god, which caused her to develop extremely violent tendencies, which are kept are kept at bay by her Red Ropes. This also suppressed her emotions. This version of her is blunt, cold and fierce, but becomes charming and flirtatious once she takes off her Red Ropes.
