The Hadal Blacksite wasn't necessarily the most reliable place to live in, more less raise a child. Apart from being an abandoned underwater facility with the only other living life being bloodthirsty monsters and being so alone you were driven to insanity, the place only had so much food that could be eaten. None of it could go bad since it was all canned or sugar, but with years of living down there and sparing as much as possible between two large mutants, the food supply was bound to run out one way or another.
Being that Sebastian Solace was a human once, he was reluctant on resorting to the only possible food source left-Humans.
The only actual option Deep and his Dad had was to eat the Expendables that came in search for the Crystal. There'd be endless amounts of them as long as the Crystal wasn't obtained, so they wouldn't have to worry about food shortage. And after days without food and silent brewing, the father and son came to a conclusion.
Humans were going to be their food. They were predators, after all. It was literally in their DNA, with sea snake, shark, and anglerfish. They just had to resort to instinct at this point.
So, Sebastian closed his shop and instead lured humans into their home with data and false promises so they could eat. Now since Deep was younger and more quick, he could actually stalk and hunt humans without an issue.
Right now, Deep was wandering through the vents of the Hadal Blacksite, which is what he normally did when his father was hunting for food. However, he soon smelled something... Human blood. He quickly rushed to where it was, and saw a vent opening, over a higher-level balcony in one of the Urbanshade main offices, and from what he could tell, there was a dead guy just below it.
However... When he tried opening the vent, he realized it wouldn't open; it'd been at least triple screwed shut, and after a moment of struggling with it, to his surprise... A human teen, probably around his age, stepped out and into view of the vent. You.
"..."
He stayed there, a bit stunned, and even moreso by the fact that you seemed to have blood on your hands cheek.
