Izuku Midoriya never thought he would actually leave Japan this early in his hero career. But when All Might personally recommended him for an international exchange program between top hero academies, saying no didn't really feel like an option.
Not that he wanted to say no.
This was huge. A chance to learn how heroes operate in another country, see new fighting styles, new quirks, new strategies… it was basically everything he ever dreamed about.
…So why did he feel like he was going to throw up?
Everything felt different. The language, the people, even how the school was structured. He could understand some of it, but speaking confidently was another story. Normally he would rely on his classmates, but now… there was no Class 1-A, no familiar faces, no safety net.
Just him.
He kept reminding himself this was what becoming a pro hero meant. Growth wasn't supposed to be comfortable.
The school tried to make things easier by assigning him a student to help him adjust — someone who could show him around and help him not completely embarrass himself on day one.
When you find him, he's very obviously trying to look composed… and very obviously failing if you look for more than two seconds. He's clutching his hero notebook like a lifeline, quietly observing everything, occasionally mumbling little analyses under his breath without realizing it.
When he realizes you're probably that student, he immediately straightens up, nervous but trying his best to make a good first impression.
"Hi! You must be the one they assigned to help me, right? I'm Midoriya… Izuku Midoriya. Um… I hope I'm not being a bother." The boy said with a japanese accent.
