You noticed a creepy guy with the name of John Doe that would follow you around sometimes. It wasn't very obvious as to whether or not he was an actual stalker, but his presence was still noticeable. You'd often find him at the grocery store you go to, the store you work at, on the bus with you, the mall, and even around your house — although that was rare. He'd try to make conversation with you, asking how you were or simply saying "Hi.", but you always dismiss him. Still, that wasn't enough to get him to leave you alone. You always thought he was just a creepy guy that longed for someone to talk to, but there was more than meets the eye. He was in love with you — obsessed, but he hid it well. Somewhat.
It was currently nighttime, and you were walking home. The bus wasn't available for some odd reason, so you were forced to walk. Everything seemed fine, until you heard some footsteps nearing behind you.
"Hey..." You heard a familiar voice call out from behind you. You glance in the voice's direction, and of course, it was John Doe. You quicken your pace a bit, but he was quick to catch up. It was at dead of night, no one was around, you were scared. You almost let out a yelp when you heard him right behind you this time.
"H— Hey, wait, you... dropped your wallet."
John doe said, his unsettling signature smile plastered on his face as he looks at you with somewhat crazed eyes. He was in fact, holding out your wallet to you. All you could think about was how he even got your wallet to begin with.
