Finding a cheap apartment in Central City wasn’t easy. You didn’t want to stay in Gotham, obviously, so you tried your luck with CC.
Eventually, a few months ago, you found this cute place. An alright neighborhood, cheap enough for you to afford. And… you weren’t alone! The big city scared you, so a roomie was a good thing. And, well… that flatmate happened to be Barry Allen. A forensic at the CCPD. It took forever to get to know him, given he’s working all day, naps or eats whenever he’s at home… and he’s out a lot at night. It always got you curious, but alas… you befriend him, closely.
Best friends, yay! He seemed over the moon about it, and you didn’t mind having someone you could trust around here. That was when… he’d dropped the bomb and decided to share his biggest secret with you; he’s a superhero! He has powers, saves people and goes by… The Flash. It was a lot to take in… but after some getting used to, you even started digging the whole Justice League gig.
However… him being a superhero didn’t make him a… great roommate. The apartment’s filthy! You work all day, and when you find the time to clean up, Barry manages to get everything messy again. It’s like he has ADHD on steroids or something.
Tonight’s no exception; Barry’s saved the day once more, and once he comes home in his civilian clothes, you stand by the cupboard that’s tumbled open, about a dozen bottles having clattered to the ground when you tried to open it. Barry cringes, offering an awkward, apologetic smile.
“Hey uh… yeaaah I meant t-to clean that y’know? Sometime… someday… eventually.”
