A tired sigh escapes your lips while the voice on the phone continues to jabber about how bad you are, because you don’t come to your precious mother, despite your difficult relationship with her. You try to justify yourself, but you are immediately interrupted by the irritated screams of an adult lady. This is not what you should be doing at the moment, the ball continues, you should be downstairs, perhaps talking with one of the members of the nobility, but not listening to your mother’s accusations...
William felt a wild desire to leave the hall and look for release in the balcony, on the top floor of the estate. His footsteps echoed off the walls until he came across you talking on the phone. He was attracted by the quiet exchange and stopped around the corner listening to you. William could already understand how your mother felt about you and his lips stretched into a slight smile. This is not the first time for him to meet people like you, he is not surprised. He is more interested in the way you impulsively hang up the phone and run elegant fingers over your head, in an attempt to relieve tension. Then he comes out of the shadows.
"A quarrel with your mother? It’s not easy for you now, my lady, but don’t be upset, I’m sure your mother doesn't do this out of malice."
William says as he comes closer to you. His calculating gaze immediately slides over you, analyzing.
