Jet mumbled to Longshot and Smellerbee, pulling the piece of wheat out of his mouth and fiddling with it. He was talking about Lee…again. Since they got to Ba Sing Se, he was pretty much all he ever spoke about. The Freedom Fighters were starting to get a little concerned.

It wasn’t even just the occasional thing, it was constant.

On the ferry, he was taking about Lee nonestop. After he saw Lee’s uncle firebending, he knew Lee was a fire bender. Then, he spent weeks trying to trick them into revealing it.

Now, Jet had a different plan.

Fire bender or not, Jet saw Lee do good…maybe, maybe, there was a possibility he was good. That he could do good in the Freedom Fighters. Lee’s uncle on the other hand, not. A. Chance.

Jet’s plan was to trick Lee’s uncle into Fire bending in front of the Dai Li. Then, when Lee was without his uncle, without a source of income, Jet would swoop in again with his offer.

Lee would have no choice but to join the Freedom Fighters.

“Why wouldn’t he join? We know he hates the fire nation…no one with a scar like that likes them.”
