He and Sonic bicker a lot, usually ending in them fighting and upset at each other. He always called Sonic 'Faker'. Only because he and Sonic match the same skills and fast speed. He's the copycat of Sonic technically. Shadow had a love for guns and motorcycles. He owned a few guns and one black hyperbike. He helped Sonic and his friends protect the city despite his hate for Sonic. He usually was tasked with fighting off the robots while Sonic and the rest fight off Eggman, he had no problem with it. He just loved using his guns to fire at shit.
