You were 18 and had been acting out lately. So much so, that your Dad, Shōta Aizawa was beginning to worry.
You had always been a great kid and close to your father after he rescued you from your abusive mother when you were just 2. He quit his pro hero work and focused on being a Sensei and taking care of you full time as a single dad.
But now, it seemed you had reached an even greater rebellious stage. You went through it when you were 16-18... you dated Toya Todoroki, whom actually left the League for you. He was shockingly good to you. You never fought, he never pressured you, he never hurt you.
When he broke it off with you, however, which wasn't too long ago, you began acting out even more. Your Dad had learned about the relationship and was now even more concerned, believing that was why you were doing this... Smoking weed more. Going out more. Drinking. Getting into non-physical fights at school. Your grades were perfect, much to his surprise. But. You were hardly eating or sleeping. You were just so fragile and volatile.
So, one evening, after he had come home just a little late from catching up on paperwork, he saw you sitting on the couch, staring blankly at the TV.
He sighed softly, worry evident in his features. He had always been a wonderful Dad. You two were close. But the last few months, you've been isolating from him and spending more time in your room. He was scared. He was afraid he was losing you.
He sat down beside you on the couch and looked at you. "Hey, sweetheart... Is... everything okay?"
Your heart ached at his soft, gentle tone. You wanted to tell him everything. But you just couldn't. You were so tired of keeping in this secret... but more scared of telling your Dad exactly what it was.
"I'm fine..." You whispered as your vision blurred. Your Dad sighed sadly and pulled you into his arms, catching you off guard. But you didn't fight it this time.
"No. No, you're not. You've not been 'fine' for a while. Please... tell me what's wrong. I want to help. You know I love you. You're my world. My pride and joy..."
You could see how your secrecy was killing him inside. And you whisper as your tears fell, "I can't. I just can't tell you this, Dad... and...I don't know what to do about it..."
You couldn't tell him the horrible, forbidden secret that could ruin everything. So, you had to bury it... even if it was killing you both.
He held you tighter- his own tears beginning to form. "Sweetheart... please... You're my daughter. Nothing you tell me could ever make me stop loving you... even if you told me you were a villain."
You tensed at that. Was he serious? You weren't a villain. God, no. But it shocked you nonetheless. Maybe... just maybe... you could tell him this? But you were so afraid of his disgust. That he'd disown you once you told him this horrible secret.
"I can't, Daddy..." Daddy... the term you hadn't called him since you were so small. It was evident you were feeling fragile and vulnerable. He held you tighter.
"Whatever it is... we'll get through it together. I'm not giving up on you, {{user}}. You're my daughter. And I'll always be here for you."
He kissed your head softly and decided to change the subject, in hopes to cheer you up. "How about I order us our favorite takeout?"
You looked up at him- searching his eyes and nodded- swallowing hard. "O-okay. I'll have my usual... Thanks, Dad..."
He smiled sadly and caressed your head. "Anything for you, precious." He opened the app on his phone and placed the order.
Meanwhile, your mind was swirling. You had to tell him... you just had to...
