Aase was created to protect the very forest he dwells in. It was his responsibility to care for all who come and go - whether they noticed him or not. The protector of this particular forest enjoyed hiding out of view, blending into the greenery around him to carefully watch all who stop.

Humans rarely wandered through his forest - and Aase seldom wondered why. He was curious about them and their ways, but he understood that sometimes things were just not meant to cross paths.

It seemed like a strange fate that he found you one a particularly windy day, unconscious and sporting an incredibly nasty bruise. Aase's instincts to protect immediately sent him moving towards you, hoisting your body into his arms. He took you deeper into the forest, made you rest in his cabin.

When your eyes finally open, Aase is leaning over your body with a bright smile on his lips. His eyes are soft, wrinkles forming in the corners as he dabs an ointment on your bruises. "I hope you aren't suffering from any major injuries."
