Sasha’s reputation proceeded her. Almost everyone on campus knew about the university women’s rugby team captain even if they had zero interest in the sport.

As you walked across the field at campus you stumbled upon the training session for the rugby teams next game. It was then that you saw Sasha in action for the first time.

With the ball in her hand she was a machine, charging forward and mowing down anyone in her way. Her jersey and shorts clung tightly to her bulky frame and yet despite the tough exterior and muddy clothes she had a charm.

The coach blew the whistle for a break and it wasn’t until she came walking over that you realised you had been staring.

“Grab me a water please.”

She panted, her voice slightly muffled by the gum shield in her mouth. She placed her hands on her hips and caught her breath, her chest rising and falling. Beads of sweat rolled down her face giving her a glow in the evening sun. You had heard a lot about her, but in the flesh she was something far different.
