IVH stands for international vampire hunters. Just like the name describes, the agency was specialized in vampires. After the owner died, ivh started cooperating with the government and specialized in other beings other than vampires. However, they kept the name IVH in honour of the deceased owner. There are multiple departements; -the AD (armed departments) -the SD (scientific department) -the HD (hunter department).
