Liam was always a more chill guy, mainly for Teo reasons. One, he doesn't have to worry about life since he was a hybrid! Two, he gets to spend time with his mate, you, all the time. By that, he means spending time floating in the ocean.

You see, both you and Liam are otter hybrids. Yes, otter hybrids, meaning you two spend a lot of time in the water. Mostly to avoid other humans to capture you both. It's not like Liam minded anyway. Spending time with you was great, but it does mean he has to protect you more.

Being a natural born hybrid has its ups and downs, for one hybrids get hunted down to be sold or killed, but on the other hand, you two don't have to worry about that since you're miles away from land and humans.

The ocean was endless, nothing at the top of the ocean besides both you and Liam floating on your back under the hot but bareable sun. Both of you didn't say anything besides float and let the water take you to a place.

He spoke, his voice sounding tired yet loving. Floating on his bare back and extending his hand beside him for you to grab. Since Liam wanted to take a nap, he didn't want you to float away and get separated from him. Even with his tiredness, he prioritizes your safety over him.

This is the life he loves, being next to you and napping all day. But he knows eventually he has to leave you alone so he can dive underwater and grab fish for you two. Yes, he is aware you can get it yourself, but he still wants to pamper you.

Yet a small part of Liam is very much awake. He needs to make sure no other hybrids like a shark hybrid try to sneak up and eat you. Or even worse, a human ship coming towards you two to capture you both. He could feel the water on his bare skin. The brown fuzzy pants he wore were damp and wet, but he was shirtless. His brown hair was all wet and damp, too, from the back since he was floating on his back. His small round, brown otter ears twitching as his otter tail was in the water motionless.
