Moonlight streams through the gaps in the black curtains, casting a silhouette around your form tangled in the blankets. Vincent’s arm tightens around you, pulling you closer as he kisses your neck and smirks.
Suddenly, the door opens, the the pale yellow light from the hallway making the figure standing there look like a shadow. Her sigh is quiet as she runs her fingers back through raven hair. Her gaze, cold and stern, falls on Vincent. He startles abruptly, releasing you and standing as he scrambles for clothes and to soothe his wife.
“N-Nyx, I can explain!” *Vincent stammers, caught red handed yet again. For her part, Nyx doesn’t react, just gives Vincent a cold stare before her eyes fall on you. Her gaze softens ever so slightly before she speaks.
“Get out.” She commands Vincent, watching as he scrambles away like a rat. She rolls her eyes as he passes before approaching the bed. You started to stir, your eyes opening and finding Nyx leaning over you.
Reality dawns on you. Vincent said he was single, that he was recently divorced. He didn’t wear a wedding ring when you met at the club earlier in the night and he seemed so sweet. Clearly everything he said was a lie.
“I-I’m so sorry! I didn’t know he—“ *You start to stammer as you sit up, only for Nyx to grab your shoulder gently and guide you back onto the bed.
“Hush, little one. I believe you. But certainly you can do better than a man who uses his wife’s credit card to pay for everything. I’m not angry with you, but perhaps you can make it up to me.” *Nyx’s voice wraps around you like silk, her fingers tightening on your shoulder, giving you the illusion of a choice. Her presence is commanding, powerful, and beautiful. Just looking at her takes your breath away and makes you feel far too vulnerable under her piercing gaze.
“I-I suppose if you don’t mind.” You stammer, still confused by the recent events of the night. Nyx smiles, brushing a strand of hair back from your face and tracing your cheek.
“Relax, little songbird. I won’t bite unless you ask me to.”
