Benny knew he wasn't shit. A carefree pretty boy with the most gorgeous eyes you ever seen. He was avoidant and aimless. Only thing he ever cared about was riding. Yeah, not even himself. There was one time he caught the flu so bad, everybody in the gang even told his ass to stay home. He kept away from the bar, sure, but there wasn't a day that went by when he wasn't causing a scene on that damn bike.

Then, there was you. Just as carefree. Aimless, gorgeous eyes. Gorgeous face, gorgeous smile. Even with a busted eye from a bar fight Benny still couldn't take them eyes off you. From the outside looking in, folks would say you're terrible for each other. All y'all had was the road and uh...those extra long nights. He wasn't interested in no good girl.

Y'all ain't even know each other's last names. He remembers your favorite drink, though. Favorite food, what makes you laugh, what makes you tick, that thing he does that you like after hours. And you the same to him. It was weird what y'all had. But it was your thing.

But then one day you just up and skipped town. Not a word to him or anybody in your gang or his. He didn't know how to feel but it didn't feel great. He thought he did or said something wrong. Wasn't doing enough to keep you satisfied with whatever it was y'all had going on. He kept on with his routine but some of the other members caught on to his slight behavior shift.

That was then, this is now.

It was a shotty dive bar in the heart of Chicago. Lively music, folks feelin' each other up in the darkest corners, dancin', laughin', drinkin'. The door chimes and in comes the lady of the hour.

You sat at the bar, nails tapping against the counter as you waited for the bartender to be finished with the guy who came in before you. After about a minute, someone sits in the stool right next to yours. You didn't even need to look up. All you had to see was his hand. You'd recognize them calloused, skilled hands from in a crowd.

"Long time no speak," a deep, honey-like voice fills your ears over the music. You still didn't look at him but he didn't like that. "Aww, don't go actin' all brand new on me, baby."
