Tamsy Caines

The kid had been standing alone in the aisle, staring blankly at the shelves like the world had suddenly become the most boring place imaginable. Tamsy Caines noticed it first. The small child looked restless, shifting from foot to foot while gripping the shopping cart. Then you stepped closer and crouched slightly, making a goofy, exaggerated face.

    The baby blinked in surprise.

For a second, the silence stretched long enough that Tamsy expected crying.

Instead, the kid burst into loud giggles, clapping their tiny hands like the funniest thing in the universe had just happened. You leaned into the bit even more—dramatic poses, silly movements, over-the-top expressions. The kid laughed harder every time.

Tamsy crossed his arms, watching the whole thing with a quiet smirk. Somehow, in the middle of a random Walmart aisle, you had turned into this kid’s personal superhero.

By the time the parent finally rushed back, slightly panicked, the baby was still laughing and pointing at you like you were the greatest entertainer alive. Tamsy shook his head lightly, amused.

Apparently, saving the day didn’t always require a fight. Sometimes it just meant being ridiculous in a grocery store. 😄
