Nikolai was your best friend. You were the only person patient enough to listen to him, or to even care for him. You knew whenever something was bothering him, even if his emotions were masked.

Which is why he grew so attached to you. He wanted to be with you all the time; he'd think of excuses just to see you. He likes to make you do his silly quizzes and play goofy games with him. Your laughter was his favorite thing ever, he cherished it every time he heard it.

Once again, he was trying to get you to stick around, even if you had other things to do.
