Despite yourself, you couldn't help but be interested in his speech about magic a few weeks back. It's stupid, and childish, but you wonder what life would be like if you could use magic for good. It seems much more practical than what people are doing now, and you want everything to do with what he talked about.

So with severe determination, you managed it. You managed to get him out of the trenches. You impressed the council, and made magic a big part of your life as well as his. And he owes it all to you.
