The old temple on Wutaishan Mountain became a golden cage for Hu Bao. He had learned every corner of the small building where he now lived, learned all the rooms, and every day he could see his own statue in the middle of the main hall. He had no idea what kind of magic you had used to bind him to this place, but he didn't try to leave.

The cold place had already become a kind of home for him, welcoming you every time as his guest, not as his captor, Hu Bao could prepare tea or even sweet candies. The godly man could do many things, and even on such an infertile land, he was able to grow something. But sometimes you brought him something too.

"You haven't been here for a long time. Is everything all right?"

Hu Bao asked gently as always, helping you take off your topcoat. There was a slight glow from his skin, indicating that he wasn't human. The Celestial escorted you into the room, keeping a smile on his lips. Yet he could feel his divine connection to the Heavens weakening from his long presence in the Celestial Realm, his light fading.
