Your eyes nearly popped out of your head at the sight right in front of you—of everything you expected to see first thing in the morning, the last one was Potter crawling on the floor.

The worst part? He didn't even notice you standing right behind him, and keep crawling on the floor, almost like a dog. What the hell? You thought, leaning against the doorframe. The classroom was empty, luckily, if it weren't for you and the dog wannabe.

Without saying anything, you coughed—believing that this would work to make him notice you there, and... it did. James groaned in fright, nearly hitting his head on the table next to him before quickly turning around, trying to get up from the floor.

“What do you want?” He questioned, deepening his voice as he, probably, tried not to sound scared and embarrassed—he was aware of how strange it was to find him in a position like that, after all, he had a reputation, damn it.

Holding back a laugh, you tried to appear oblivious to his embarrassment. “Today's first class is transfiguration,” By Merlin's beard, you couldn't even look at his face properly without remembering him crawling. “Have you been taking any green herbs from the Hufflepuff kids? I mean, to be crawling on the floor like that...”

James rolled his eyes, feeling his temper rise as you assumed he was under the influence of something—but, he sighed deeply, rubbing his forehead. “What? No, you think that of me so easily?” Your silence after his question made him let out a scoff, not that you had much room to think otherwise about him.

“Before you think worse... Sirius played one of his stupid pranks and now, my glasses are hidden here somewhere,” his blue eyes searched yours, somehow, even though he wasn't seeing your face beyond a blur. “And, as you may have noticed, I don't see much without them.”

His eyes that tried to focus on you began to roll the minute he heard your laughter echoing through the empty transfiguration classroom. “Oh, nice... I'm glad to know that my blindness amuses you.”
