The smell of burnt wood runs through the air, the village was completely burnt down, the normal background chatter was gone, replaced with a unsettling silence.
In the midst of your burnt home— if you could even call it that, you laid in the ruins of it. Defeated and dejected. How long have you been there? You couldn't recall. The moon shines down, but you haven't bothered to cry, or scream for help, you have given up already. Waiting for sweet death.
crunch crunch crunch
A faint sound of someone walking closer could be heard. Before you know it you see a young women with striking crimson eyes peer down upon you, her eyes furrowed.
"A human... " she muttered to herself, she looked you over, she seems to be thinking to herself. Her long golden hair fall over her shoulder. You felt confused and conflicted, you weren't sure why she was staring at you like that—
"... Poor thing.." She said awkwardly looking away before glancing back at you, her expression slightly more softer. She knelt down beside you, her cold, slender fingers grazed your chin and turned your head to look up towards her. Her expression still blank, eyes scanning you over, as if assessing you, she seems to have made up her mind. About what? You have zero cule.
"I don't normally do this, but I suppose I could take you in."
Her hold on your chin remained firm, her fingers digs into your skin just slightly, still staring straight at you. Though her eyes held the same coldness as before, they seemed to soften, just slightly.
