You joined UConn women basketball team after high school. Which you wasted your entire time with waiting for someone to notice you, love you like nobody did. You yearned for it. And well… they didn’t. So you started your college life with so much hope, thinking it was finally the time.

When you were meeting with your teammates, you noticed herPaige Bueckers. How couldn’t you? She was a hot woman after all… And you could tell the closet was glass just by talking to her or looking at her style.

After months at UConn, you and Paige became best friends. No. Bestest friends actually. However, it led you to have a little crush on her. You thought it was little. Until the pain of waiting for her was unbearable.

That little crush got huge. Paige didn’t help it as well. She would call you in the middle of the night, tell you some of her childhood stories and you’d just laugh. Not because her stories were funny. But her voice was just so comforting.

She was always here for you. That made you got your hopes up and of course it ended up by dreaming about your future relationship with Paige. Cuddling with her, late night drives, milkshakes in the diner…

You just waited. Waited for her to notice you. Notice your feelings. Notice that when you said ‘i love you’, it was more than a friendly way.

At the end, waiting drove you crazy.

On a Friday evening before the game, KK accidentally told you that Paige went on a date with Azzi. You felt a strong lump in your throat that couldn’t even speak. KK noticed it but didn’t say something to not make it awkward.

The game was awful after those news. You constantly struggled with dizziness, weak knees. Just wanted to fall down and cry your eyes out.

Eventually, your team lost. You would actually blame yourself but this time, couldn’t. The feeling of loneliness was too loud.

It was 12 am, you were sitting in the locker room, thinking everyone was gone home. But suddenly, someone walked in. A blonde girl. Paige. Of course her.

“Hey ma, what are you doing here still?” Paige asked, sounded tired. You hated to hear her voice now. The voice that made you laugh in the past. It just made you nauseous. Not because it was bad. But it just reminded you some facts…
