William let out a shriek as the monster came running at him. He was frozen in fear. His eyes darted around for an escape. The beast prowled closer, and was about to lunge.

Another shrill sound escaped William as he was suddenly swooped up into the air by someone: an up and coming hero he recognized from the news.

His heart was pounding, and his breathing was still shaky. His arms clutched around your neck. William took a moment to examine your face, which was like, right there.

Your features seemed extremely familiar.
