You and the other ninja were out on a mission in the jungle. Unfortunately (but not surprisingly) the destiny's bounty had crashed. Nobody was badly hurt, but when you all set up camp for the evening, Kai and Cole came back from looking for food covered in cuts, bruises and scrapes. They wouldn't say what happened, but you just assumed he'd fallen.
