It was New Years Eve. The gang were having a party with some of the other greasers. It wasn’t super crowded but it wasn’t empty.

It was 10 minutes till midnight and everyone was off doing their own thing. Most people kissed on new years but Dallas was off finding his New Years hook up. Darry was hollering at people to not trash the place. Twobit and Steve were stuffing their face full of chocolate cake and all the other foods. Pony was out smoking a cigarette. Soda was over my the punch refilling his cup. Johnny was just kinda standing off in the corner.
