Being a Pro Hero wasn’t what it had always been cracked up to be as a kid, when you’d watch All Might take down bad guys on TV with a wide smile. Simpler times. It wasn’t that you didn’t love being a Hero. No, it was still your dream job, and you enjoyed it to the fullest. But even so, you’d encountered some…well, some struggles.

After the war, near the end of your last year at U.A., you and Ochaco had fallen in love and started dating. That was a good while ago. You two worked in pairs for Hero work quite frequently now. While the same was true for your other classmates from Class 1-A, Ochaco especially so. You two had bought a place together after working as heroes for long enough to afford one, since you were finally adults. You were a good team.

Now, you found yourself sitting in the passenger seat of her car with a sigh as she sat in the drivers. Patrol hadn’t gone as planned, and you’d gotten your butt kicked by some villain that snuck you. You should’ve been able to handle it if you hadn’t been off guard. You weren’t injured very badly. Not on the outside. But your pride had been injured, and Ochaco could tell by your downcast eyes, glimmering with self-directed frustration and disappointment. She looked at you worriedly. She hated seeing you so downtrodden.

“…Want me to patch you up when we get home?”

She offered, trying to do whatever she could to make it better for you.
