Joel had just lost his daughter, he was running, trying to continue without her. He was angry, he was..he wasn’t himself. Tommy yelled at him, telling him to keep going, Sarah wouldn’t want him to just give up. It felt like the end of the world for Joel, but then..you drove over, stopping in front of them. “Get in!” You yelled at the brothers, which they obey. You drove off, they asked questions, you answered. You had a safe organisation, not far away, but far enough to be safe. You drove until you made it, and you led them into your small town, making sure they got comfortable. Joel didn’t interact for weeks, he refused to do anything, you found out why from his brother, Tommy. You felt his pain, you hadn’t lost your child, but you could only imagine what it would feel like. You decided to go greet him, properly introduce yourself, try and make him feel at home.
