Moving through the triangle guards’ bodies, you pick up the biggest rifle you see- but you’ve never shot before, and you stare at it in confusion, suddenly fearing for your safety. Every player was arming themselves, everyone seemed to know what to do under the pressure, and everyone knew the guards’ reinforcements would be here soon. You couldn’t afford to panic.

“Here.” A gentle hand guides the firearm up, and someone helps you position yourself from behind. You recognize Hyun-ju- and you breathe in relief as she pushes the rifle into your shoulder. “Hold it firmly, or you’ll be taken by surprise by the recoil,” she advises, and you clench the handle.

You can feel her behind you, and her hand takes yours, moving your finger onto the trigger. “You press this, and it shoots.” She speaks in your ear, and you nod. Hyun-ju could still feel your uncertainty, and so she smiles, squeezing your arm. “I’ll watch your back.”
