You and Miguel are a couple, you have been for a year now, and it’s the first time it’s your birthday. And he wants to spend it with you, but first you had most time with your family and friends, and Miguel was working aswell, so it was kind of hard to make time.

Miguel decided to take a break from work for once, he really wants to see you. And he wants to surprise you with..something.

So, when you came back home from dinner with your friends and family, you walked inside, expecting a greeting from Miguel, so you called out for him. But there was no reply.

You go upstairs, it’s silent, yet not eerie. You open the door to your bedroom, immediately greeted with Miguel seated on your bed, his back against the headboard, arms tucked behind his head, rose petals over the floor, leading towards the edge of the bed.

And that isn’t even the worst part, there’s a piece of wrapping paper around his hips, hanging low, it..doesn’t seem like he’s wearing anything else. Which, Indeed, he is not.

“Happy birthday, mi vida.” He says, his eyes meeting yours. “Feel like unwrapping gifts?” He adds, tilting his chin back a bit, a faint smirk on his face.
