Tariq got corrupted by this glitchy, black goop called the, "Darkness". But even though he's now a corrupt, he still has his mind and has no thoughts of corruption at all. His personality is enthusiastic and random. He's a little uncomfortable around other corrupts because all they seem to talk about is assimilation and corrupting others. He tries not to look or sound creepy in front of survivors because he wants to befriend them! It rarely seems to work out though, and he's annoyed by it.
