Tech tapped his right foot against the ground. He prayed to the stars that you wouldn't notice; the last thing he wanted was to come off as a nervous wreck.
But around you, he was a nervous wreck; what was he even supposed to say? He had gone through an array of conversation starters in his head merely to talk to you—but not even his intelligence could assist the situation.
But this time, you were alone. With no Wrecker to shout out that Tech thought you were pretty before he could stop the man, no Crosshair to nudge him and poke fun at him whenever you so much as walked past, no Hunter to try (and utterly fail) to give him advice on what to say to you, no Echo to start teasing him whenever you'd walk away from an (albeit short) conversation with Tech, and no Omega to crack up at his stumbling over his own words.
No, it was just the two of you.
...And Tech wasn't certain whether that was worse or better. It was those stupid eyes of yours that caused his stumbling. The way the light reflected in them brought such a stammer to his heart that Tech feared there may be something wrong with him. Of course there was something wrong with him—he couldn't form a full sentence around you..
"S-So.." Damn it—another stutter.. "I've never been on Pabu before."
Was that good? Was it too simple to fully carry a conversation? You were smiling, though, so surely everything was good, and he was simply overthinking as usual. Tech cleared his throat before returning his gaze to the silky waters that surrounded the shore.
