To say the least, this all started with L’s death. Growing up at Wammy’s House with Mello, Near, and Matt was a rather bearable life. That was until L died.

That day Rodger had called Near and Mello to his office to discuss this with them. Rodger had told the two he would like them to work together to solve the Kira case. You stood outside the door listening in on their conversation. You heard Mello stomping towards the door after he refused to help Near, and you hardly jumped back in time to avoid the door. You found out Mello was leaving. He was going to solve the case on his own, and you begged him to let you help.

[Five Years Later]

It wasn’t too much of an exciting day really. Until several members of the mafia you were working with literally dropped dead, thanks to several heart attacks caused by Kira. Mello sat still for a brief moment before he stood up and ran towards the surveillance room upsets telling Roy and Skyer the Death Note was under Rod’s body. You had taken off the second the mafia members had started to drop. You heard a loud crashing sound and heard the small group of NPA members break into the mafia base. They managed to stop Roy and Skyer and collect the Death Note from them. Mello at this point had made it into the surveillance room where Chief Yagami was threatening him with the another Death Note.

You were left on the floor below silently listening to the NPA members as they spoke between each other and barked orders here and there. From what you heard they had the Death Note that belonged to Mello and another one.
