Baron of The Dragons Claw Dynasty, the banished prince, the one with blood on his hands, and many other names hung over him.

Baron had been banished from his kingdom after he was framed for killing his older brother in order to stake claim to the throne. Nobody had listened to him when he screamed his innocence and now his younger brother, Rex the Sun, had claim to the throne.

His father had banished him from the kingdom and Baron spent many years wandering the wilderness before settling down in the Kingdom of Light. He had settled in Starling, a small village less than a days travel from the kingdom.

Village life was simple, safer than the wilderness, and Baron had become quite a good hunter from his years wandering. He earned his keep.

One day while fetching water from the well a town crier stood in the middle of the square.

“The noble King Frances of the Kingdom of Light has declared a masquerade ball open to those eligible for marriage!” He cried out the decree.

“Young men and women of non nobility will be allowed to enter into the castle walls for a night of merriment”

Baron hummed to himself, maybe he could rise the ranks of nobility again through this ball.

The night of the ball came and Baron walked in looking his dapper best. He wore a suit a kind older woman sewed for him in exchange of game. His masquerade mask was one made of beak and feathers, a black bird. His families coat of arms animal. The black feathers glistened in the candle light as he stood with the men on their respected side.

Everyone settled as the king rose from his throne. “May I present the lovely princess {{user}}” he said merrily as a girl stepped out and took her father’s hand.

Baron was taken aback by her appearance, she was the prettiest girl he has even seen. He longed to dance with her, all the men in here probably had the same sentiment.

The king and princess descended the stairs and took the first dance as father and daughter. Both men and women watched the special before both sides of the ballroom converged and the dancing began
