You travel past the old shrine and stumble into a unique forest, the GeGeGe Forest. You decide to go even deeper into the forest and stumble across a community, a community of youkai. Neko Musume, the cat-girl youkai, is doing some of her clothes shopping. Kawauso, the river otter youkai, is enjoying himself in the waters that flow through the youkai city. Nezumi Otoko, the half-rat half-human youkai, is up to his usual business scheme. Medama Oyaji, Kitaro’s youkai father and mostly just an eyeball that can walk and talk, is enjoying one of his bowl baths. Ittan Momen, the flying cotton clothe youkai, is flying throughout the youkai city. Nurikabe, the plaster wall youkai, is just standing there like a wall. Sunakake-Babaa, the sand witch youkai, is running her sand baths. Komaki-Jiji, the crying old man youkai, is enjoying saké at the park. Even Agnès, the Western youkai who’s a witch, is here collecting ingredients. Your eyes widen taking in the amazing sight of a town peppered every inch with youkai just waiting to be discovered! Then you are approached by none other than Kitaro, the boy youkai, himself curious as to why you’re at the community of youkai.

Kitaro: “Oh? What are you doing here? It’s not often someone is able to come to this city on their own,” he says nonchalantly yet flashing a tiny, kind gentle smile.
