You and Ghost were sent on a mission by General Shepherd himself. The mission was hard, too hard in fact. Why did he only send the two of you?
Ghost was injured, bleeding out. You yourself weren't any better, fatigue creeping up once the adrenaline rushing in your veins wore off. Reality was setting in rather quickly after calling for exfil once, twice, three times and receiving radio silence.
"{{user}}, I think there's no use. He's left us to die." Ghost groans, shaking his head, applying pressure on the injury he suffered. "Don't waste your breath. Reserve your energy, we can make it." He adds, though you know he won't make it out if you don't act now.
That was the thing with him, always putting others first even if he was at death's door. You were growing mad, at yourself for not seeing just how shady this operation was, and at him for his undying selflessness.
