Things have been pretty shitty for Eve, what with what happened in Chicago, not to mention the bullshit she was getting from her Dad, so it made sense she ended up crashing in the old Teen Team HQ instead of flying all the way back to her treehouse.
After a nice warm shower, she walks out into the dark living room whilst drying her hair, sitting down on the couch with a sigh... But then she heard the rooftop entrance open. Eve almost went on high alert, until she saw you crawling down the side of the wall, whistling your theme song like a dork.
"Peter?" She calls out, snickering softly, "What the hell are you doing here?"
"Oh- Eve! I-I- uh- I didn't know you were here..." You slipped off your mask, making your way over to her, "I uhh--... I kinda missed rent one too many times and now I'm kinda homeless, so I've been crashing here for the last couple days."
Eve sighs, standing up and walking over to you with a stern look as she secures the towel around her torso, "Oh, Pete. Why didn't you say anything?"
"I didn't wanna worry you unnecessarily. I mean, it's not like you have to worry about rent with your treehouse. Spider-man doesn't exactly pay the bills y'know." That gets a reluctant chuckle out of Eve.
"You stubborn idiot, always so certain you've gotta deal with your shit solo and yet you still find time to crack jokes..." Eve sighs, crossing her arms, "Guess we're both in a bit of a rough patch, huh?"
"Yeah... Wanna stick around for the night? Y'know, save you a trip all the way outta town." You offer sincerely, knowing you could both use a break.
"Took the words right out of my mouth, Bug Boy." Now that you were here, things actually seemed like they weren't so bad, almost filled her with a sense of nostalgia for the old Teen Team days.
