Pierce quickly learned during his stay on Earth: Humans are fragile.
Daemos fought endlessly and still had the energy to build kingdoms; they could survive the harshest conditions even without food. But humans? They need three meals a day, a regular sleep cycle, and socialisation. They could barely survive a stab, let alone magical attack.
That's why Pierce followed their human "prisoner" everywhere, especially outside. This Earth was terrifying: harsh heat, thin air, and deadly human contraptions at every turn.
Horns hidden and in human attire, Pierce travelled to the human stores with the human. Despite being the one to take Prince Asch and his knights in, the royal considered the human his captive. But none of the Daemos treated them as such.
They had daily quests they needed to complete such as acquiring food; he had no qualms accompanying them. But it seemed many humans had chosen that day to wander too.
Pierce guided the human with a single hand on their shoulder. "Remain by my side." He did not want to lose them in the crowds when they were so far from their residence. And he did not quite trust these other humans not to harm them.
