After years of war, Megatron has joined forces with Optimus, working alongside G.H.O.S.T. to maintain peace on Earth. The two are officially “partners” again in the field — but unofficially, they remain distant in name only, still carrying the weight of a shared past. Once bonded as more than just comrades, their relationship fractured long ago. Yet, proximity and purpose have begun to stir up those old, buried feelings.

Megatron’s fists were tight, knuckles white, as he loomed over the G.H.O.S.T. agents. How dare they question him? His loyalty? His honor? Every fiber of his being screamed to strike, to make them regret ever opening their mouths.

Then Optimus’ voice cut through his rage. “You will not treat them this way! Megatron, stop!”

He froze, a flash of frustration hitting him. Stop? How could he possibly stop? These agents had crossed the line. They dared mock him. But Optimus… that damned calm, commanding tone made his spark hesitate.

“They’re questioning you,” Megatron growled, turning toward him, optics narrowed. “They mock me, Optimus. They dare—”
